The Benjamin Logan Local School District is proud to announce that the district achieved an

"Excellent with Distinction"

rating on the 2011-2012 state report card from the Ohio Department of Education. This is the highest state rating based on the achievment and progress of students.

Open Enrollment for 2013-2014

Applications for participation in the Interdistrict Open Enrollment Program may be obtained at the Superintendent's office of the Benjamin Logan Local School District, 4740 CR 26, Bellefontaine, Oh 43311, or by calling 937-593-9211 x 1003.

A separate application shall be submitted for each student. Applications shall be submitted to the Office of the Superintendent, Benjamin Logan Local School District with the timeline below. Applications will be marked with the date and time received in the Superintendent's office.

Proof of residence (such as a utility bill or similar proof of residence) must be submitted with the application if you are applying for open enrollment for the first time or if your address has changed since your last application.

If you are applying for the first time, a copy of attendance records is required. For high school students, a current transcript or report card is required.

Time Line: The last day to submit applications is May 1, 2013. Note: Timelines may change from year to year. If the application has not been received before the established deadline, the application may be denied. If capacities have not been met this deadline may be extended by the Superintendent.

Applicants will be notified of acceptance or denial the week of August 1, 2013.

Benjamin Logan Local Schools Bullying Policy

While we know bullying takes place in our schools, we also know that very few incidents meet the criteria of the Benjamin Logan Schools Bullying Policy. Last semester, our principals reported 2 incidents that met our bullying criteria. The Benjamin Logan Local Schools Bullying Policy is as follows:

Harassment, intimidation, or bullying means any intentional written, verbal, graphic, or physical act that a student or a group of students exhibits toward another particular student(s) more than once and the behavior both causes mental or physical harm to the other student(s) and is sufficiently severe, persistent, or pervasive that it creates an intimidating, threatening, or abusive educational environment for the other student(s).

This policy has been developed in consultation with parents, District employees, volunteers, students, and community members as prescribed in R.C. 3313.666 and the State Board of Education's Model Policy.

Phone numbers for the system are pulled from the Emergency Contact Forms that were provided to the school. Please contact your student's school office to update these phone numbers.
