1)  Q How can I register for the ACT or SAT?
A
Registration packets are available in the Guidance Office. The high school CEEB code is 365-747. Please be sure to put this code on the registration form for our school to receive your test results to put on your transcript.

2)  Q How can I obtain financial aid to attend a university, college, or technical school of my choice?
A
The first step in obtaining financial aid is to complete the FAFSA form which is available in the Guidance Office. Copies of the financial aid booklet is also available in the Guidance Office, and scholarships are listed in the guidance newsletter. Students need to stop by the Guidance Office to request scholarship application forms and return completed forms by the deadlines listed in the guidance newsletter.
3)  Q If I want to play sports in college, what steps do I need to follow to be eligible?
A
Seniors who plan to participate in Division I or Division II intercollegiate athletics must register with the NCAA Clearinghouse prior to college athletic recruitment visits. To learn more about NCAA rules and to complete your registration, log on to www.ncaaclearinghouse.net. Be sure to print off the transcript release form and bring it to the Guidance Office. We will then mail your current official transcript directly to NCAA Clearinghouse within twenty-four hours.
4)  Q What is the new OGT and who is required to take this test?
A
Passage of the Ohio Graduation Test is required for students beginning with the Class of 2007. This test replaces the Ohio Ninth Grade Proficiency Test and requires more comprehensive responses to some of the questions. Students will take this test for the first time in the spring of their sophomore year.
5)  Q When is the Ohio Graduation Test given?
A
The Ohio Graduation Test is given in March of each year for current sophomores.
6)  Q What is the Post-Secondary Enrollment Option and how can I apply?
A
The PSEO program provides students an opportunity to take a wide array of college courses for high school or college credit while still a high school student. An information meeting will be held in February to discuss the PSEO option is greater detail. For additional information, contact Miss Brown in the Guidance Office.
7)  Q Do I have to register with the military even if I do not intend to enlist?
A
All boys are required by law to register with the Selective Service by your 18th birthday. You may pick up registration forms in the Guidance Office or have your Social Security number handy and send to the Selective Service seb site (www.sss.gov).
